How to maintain the hardware of aluminum-clad wood doors and windows? If you do the following five points, you can extend the life of aluminum-clad wood doors and windows.
(1) Regular inspection
Doors and windows should be inspected regularly to see if the hardware accessories are loose. If any problems are found, after-sales treatment should be carried out promptly to avoid potential safety hazards.
(2) Lubricating oil
In addition to the door and window handles, internal hinges, upper and lower pulleys, slots and other movable parts slide for a long time in daily use. It is easy for dust to fall on the accessories and adhere to the interior, affecting the performance. It is recommended that they be cleaned every six months. Perform maintenance. The maintenance method is also very simple. Just put two drops of lubricating oil on the accessories to keep them smooth.
(3) Oxidation and electrolysis
Some hardware will develop spots after being used for a long time. This is not rust but oxidation. The humidity, temperature, and pollution level of the air in daily life will cause varying degrees of oxidation and electrolysis on the hardware. This requires cleaning the door and window hardware to avoid long-term coverage by dust. In the relatively humid season of spring, wipe it with a cloth and keep it dry to reduce oxidation and electrolytic damage to the hardware.
(4) Cleanser
It is recommended to spray cleaning agents twice a year to form a layer of protection on the hardware surface, making the hardware accessories as bright as new.
(5) Pencil lead powder
Door and window lock cores may become insensitive to rotation after being used for a long time. You can take a small amount of black powder from the pencil core and put it into the lock hole. The graphite component of the pencil lead is an excellent solid lubricant, which has an excellent lubrication effect on the lock core without affecting the performance of the lock core.
